Our next assignment was based on making a poster using one of the images provided to us and studying the lines, planes and conditions in the image. We could only introduce 1 color besides black and white. We were also given a meaningless text to compose with the image.
I wanted to emphasize the most obvious lines and planes in the image. I used blue because I thought it looked in harmony with black and white. It did not get the attention away from the image but it made a composition of the colour, the image and the text.
